f you keep up with Honey Boo Boo, you know her beloved Uncle Poodle. If you don't, his name is Lee Thompson and he is sometimes featured on the popular reality show. Lee, a gay man who recently married his partner, has come out as being HIV-positive. He contracted the disease from an ex boyfriend who did not tell him that he was HIV-positive and un-medicated at the time. Uncle Poodle has since pressed charges against the man. Lee says that he would like to be a voice in the community on practicing safe sex, which he hopes will be taught at school.
