It's amazing how many BOYS were born to celebs this year.  And yet the one child who will grow up to rule them all, Blue Ivy Carter, is a girl. 

Blue Ivy Carter . . . The offspring of JAY-Z and BEYONCE . . . arrived in January.

After two girls, BEN AFFLECK and JENNIFER GARNER had a baby boy in February.  They named him Samuel Garner Affleck.

CHARLIZE THERON adopted a boy named Jackson in March.

HILARY DUFF and retired hockey player MIKE COMRIE welcomed a boy named Luca Cruz Comrie, also in March.

As big as JESSICA SIMPSON got when she was pregnant, it's no surprise her daughter Maxwell was 10 pounds when she was born in May.  Jessica went on to sign a multimillion-dollar deal with Weight Watchers.

UMA THURMAN gave birth to a baby girl in July.  Her name, and this is for real, is  ROSALIND ARUSHA ARKADINA ALTALUNE FLORENCE THURMAN-BUSSON.  Luna for short.

SNOOKI gave birth to her meatball in August.  She and her baby-daddy Jionni LaValle named the kid Lorenzo Dominic.

"True Blood" co-stars ANNA PAQUIN and STEPHEN MOYER had twins.

NICK and VANESSA LACHEY had a boy in September.  They named him Camden, just like Kristin Cavallari . . . who was an ex-girlfriend of Nick's.

SARAH MICHELLE GELLAR gave FREDDIE PRINZE JR. a baby boy.

REESE WITHERSPOON had a boy.

DREW BARRYMORE had a September baby.  It was a girl.  Her name is Olive.

MEGAN FOX and BRIAN AUSTIN GREEN never admitted that Megan was pregnant, but she gave birth in September.  They didn't announce it until October.  It's a boy, and his name is Noah.

ADELE had a boy.
