Luke Bryan drove the pace car at Sunday's NASCAR Sprint Cup Race at the Michigan International Speedway. Luke sat in Brad Keselowski's pit box, while Brad drove the number-two Miller Lite car with the Crash My Party album cover emblazoned on the hood. Tickets for the second Luke Bryan show at Nashville's Bridgestone Arena on October 19th sold out in less than five minutes on Friday morning. For the fans who camped overnight outside the Bridgestone for tickets, Luke had complimentary coffee and donuts delivered as a thank you for their support. The news is icing on the cake for Luke, whose Crash My Party album sold over 400,000 copies its first week out.
The Band Perry will embark on their first worldwide headlining tour. The We Are Pioneers Tour will begin in Sweden in November and work its way across Europe. After that, they'll return to the U.S. with opening act Easton Corbin.
Doctors have released Chris Young from a Denver hospital after a mysterious leg infection sidelined the singer for most of last week. He updated fans on Twitter Sunday, posting, "Back home finally. Wound still healing up from surgery, but hopefully I will see you guys out on the road soon! #DontLaughIfILimp."

Jake Owen is fired up over Tom Petty's comments, calling modern country music "bad rock with fiddle." In a recent radio interview, Jake expressed his disappointment in the Rock and Roll Hall of Famer. Speaking as a Petty fan, Jake said, "First of all, why? Why is he talking about country music in his show? That bums me out a little bit, man, because I was a big Tom Petty fan -- and still am -- but you know, everyone makes ignorant comments from time to time. My dad always says, 'There's an ass for every seat.'
Old Crow Medicine Show will become the newest members of the Grand Ole Opry on September 17th. Longtime friend and supporter Marty Stuart surprised the band with an Opry invitation on Friday night during a sold-out show in Cleveland. Old Crow made their official Opry debut on January 13th 2001.
Looks like Jo Dee Messina is in talks to compete on the fall season of ABC's Dancing With the Stars. In a new Facebook note, Jo Dee says, "I had a meeting with the folks at ABC and Dancing With the Stars. I'm hoping to get on there for the fall season (fingers crossed)."
According to the Tennessean, Tanya Tucker has filed a lawsuit against a former Nashville entertainment attorney to collect $247,000 she loaned him in 2003. Court papers claim the man never repaid his debt.
Alabama’s Randy Owen is among the four hit-makers who will be inducted into the Nashville Songwriters Hall of Fame this fall. Randy -- along with Jeffrey Steele (Rascal Flatts’ “What Hurts the Most”), Will Jennings (Celine Dion’s “My Heart Will Go On”) and Layng Martine (Reba McEntire’s “The Greatest Man I Never Knew”) -- will be honored at the 43rd Anniversary Nashville Songwriters Hall of Fame Dinner & Induction Ceremony on October 13th at Nashville’s Music City Center.
