Songs for Sound, in collaboration with The Medical University of South Carolina (MUSC), will be hosting a special event in Charleston on October 18th at Harborside East. We are hoping you will join us!
WEZL is proud to be presenting the Charleston Songs for Sound, which will feature 3 incredible songwriters, who will not only perform, but share the stories behind some of their biggest and best songs.
Radney Foster was a member of the groundbreaking duo Foster and Lloyd, which he followed with a solo career in the 1990s, and produced a number of hits including the top five smash "Nobody Wins" in 1992. He's written such songs as "Raining On Sunday," which was a huge hit for Keith Urban, as well as Sara Evans smash # 1 "A Real Fine Place to Start."
If you've heard the Jason Aldean/Kelly Clarkson duet "Don't You Wanna Stay," then you know Jason Sellers, the writer of that number one smash. Sellers has a large selection of songs to choose from to perform on October 18th, as he's written hits for Reba, Montgomery Gentry, Rascal Flatts and wrote "Goodnight Kiss" which is the latest song from Randy Houser.
Our 3rd and final songwriter went from playing Division One college football at Colorado State to writing hits in Nashville. Jay Clementi has penned songs for Dierks Bentley, Darius Rucker, Luke Bryan and Martina McBride, to name just a few.
TJ Phillips will host Songs for Sound and tickets for the performance are available now - don't delay, get yours befoe the night is a sell-out. Simply order at yours today at www.songsforsound.com.
Songs for Sound, a passionate 501©3 nonprofit organization, was established to raise awareness about the benefits of cochlear implants for severe-to-profoundly deaf children who are not being given the chance to receive this life-changing technology. The founders of Songs for Sound have family and friends who are Nashville’s hottest country music artists and songwriters. Songs for Sound blends Nashville’s elite songwriters with the miracle of sound and creates a special night. We invite you to be a part of this amazing event.
In our THIRD YEAR, Songs for Sound is on a TEN-CITY HEAR the MUSIC TOUR to set out and change the lives of deaf children worldwide. The proceeds raised will give children the chance to hear, speak, and receive a mainstream education. Songs for Sound donations will fund OUTREACH, Cochlear Implant Programs, Speech Therapy Programs and families in need of financial assistance.
Research has demonstrated that children with profound hearing loss, who receive a cochlear implant as an infant or toddler and who receive appropriate educational services, are able to achieve vocabulary and language skills equal to their hearing agemates by kindergarten.
